Dumplings… Dumplings everywhere!
*Three of my most favouritest recipes… within dumplings. *
Beef Stew & Dumplings:
Beef stew dumplings dish serves mainly in coldest wintry evenings for enjoying warming tucks with fluffy dumplings dip into beef stews.
Beef stew: Preheat the oven at 180 degree for 5 to 10 minutes. Heat the oil in a pan for beef stew and fry the beef until turned brown from all sides. Sprinkle the flour and cook again for 2 to 3 minutes. Now add garlic and other vegetables and fry for 1 to 2 minutes. Add beef stock vinegar and Worcester sauce and stir it for more 1 to 2 minutes. Pour the mixture in an oily casserole and season with salt and freshly ground black pepper. Cook it in an oven for about 1 to two hours until the meat is fully tender.
[Dumplings:](chansyumcha.com.au/index.php/chans-recipes/): Pour all-purpose flour in a bowl, baking powder, sugar and mix it thoroughly now add milk and butter to make a soft dough. Roll spoon full dough and make small balls with floured hands. Take out the baked stew after 1.5 hours and place balls on the surface and baked it for another 20 minutes until tender and swollen. Serve it with mashed potatoes in a four serving plate and present dim-sum with chopped parsley.
Quick Chicken Dumplings:
Quick chicken dumplings involve only approximately one hour including preparation and cooking.
Boil the chicken thoroughly to have a tender look. Add 1 ½ cup milk, peas, carrots and chicken in a saucepan and stir frequently. Stir BisQuick mix in 1/3 cup milk to make a soft dough. Drop spoon full dough into the chicken mixture. Sprinkle pepper and salt and covered with lid and cook for 10 minutes. Serve with parsley sprinkling
Dumplings with Apples
Sounds a bit weird but it is
Pre heat oven at 180 degrees. Mix flour and salt in a large bowl. Add cut butter in a mixture and sprinkle 1 tbsp. cold water at a time until all the flour is thoroughly moisturized and a soft dough. Sprinkle flour on a cutting board and flat dough into a 6x4 inch rectangle shape. Now cut into equal square shapes removing edges. Again roll down the remaining edges and cut into square shape. Repeat the procedure until all the dough is converted into squares. Peel the apples and cut into large diced shapes. Now place each piece in the center of square piece of dough and fill it with raisins. Moisten the corners with water. Now attach two opposite corners over apple and fold in sides of the remaining corners. Place the filled dumplings in a baking dish. Now heat brown sugar in 1 1/3 cup boiling and stir quickly. Pour the sugar syrup around dumplings. Bake for 40 minutes until the crust turn brown and apples are tender when pierced with fork or knife. Cool the dumplings and serve the dim-sum dish.
